United Way Yukon Executive Director Jamie Boyd was on hand to help raise the United Way flag outside the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
This event always fills us with pride and renews our sense of purpose and mission.
October is United Way Month here in Yukon. We have set a target to raise $85,000 this year.
Over the past two decades Yukoners have contributed more than two million dollars for local charities through our organization.
Our funding is focused on supporting programs which provide assistance to Yukon children, youth and families; respond to the needs of people living with disabilities; address alcohol and drug abuse; and seek to reduce the adverse effects of poverty.
Let us continue that work!
