2021 United Way Breakfast

Friday, September 24, Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre, Whitehorse

The 2021 United Way Breakfast and Silent Auction was a great success in 2021 with $16,850 raised through ticket sales for the breakfast, and $13,371 raised through the Silent Auction.  Our thanks go out to all Yukoners who supported us and we hope that you enjoyed your breakfast.

It was the second year in a row where Covid restrictions forced us to move from our traditional sit down breakfast at the Convention Centre.  Mount McIntyre Rec Centre proved to be a great spot to have a drive-thru breakfast, but we do hope we can go back to an event where we gather together.

Thank you  Many hands make light work, as they say, and all the people who helped make this  happen deserve a huge thank you.

Thank you to the individuals at Yukon Government’s Department of Environment, the Department of Finance, and the Executive Council Office for organizing this year’s event.

Thank you to Wandering Bison and Northern Vision Development for helping to create the breakfast.

Thank you to the folks at Wildland Fire Management for providing tents and BBQ’s.

Thank you to all the celebrity servers who helped heat up the burrito’s, prep the cloth bags that held the breakfasts, all the volunteers who made coffee and ran back and forth with coolers of food to the pick up stations, all the people who got up early to set up, and all those who stayed late and packed everything up.

This event supported and organized by the Government of Yukon
